Sort Code Elements (Automatic)

The Sort Code Elements (Automatic) feature allows you to rearrange the code elements (methods, properties, etc.) of the active source code file according to a predefined set of rules defined in the Options window, Team Options tab, Code Elements Order section.

MZ-Tools offers the following ways to sort the code elements of a file automatically:

• The MZ-Tools | Other Utilities | Sort Code Elements (Automatic) menu.
• The Sort Code Elements (Automatic) menu entry on the context menu of a code window.
• The Sort Code Elements (Automatic) button on the MZ-Tools - Other Utilities toolbar.
• In Visual Studio 2015 and higher, the keyboard shortcut associated with the MZTools.SortCodeElementsAutomatic command.
• In Visual Studio 2013 and lower, the keyboard shortcut associated with the MZTools8.SortCodeElementsAutomatic command.
• In VB6 / VBA, the keyboard shortcut associated with the Sort Code Elements (Automatic) feature.

After the changes are applied, if you are not satisfied with the new order you can undo the action with the Edit | Undo menu.
